 Maria Elena Bello (born April 18th 1967) is an American actress as well as a producer and writer. Bello has appeared on television in roles such as Dr. Anna Del Amico (1997) and Payback (1999), Coyote Ugly (2000) and The Cooler (2003), A History of Violence (2005), Michelle McBride (2016) and Special Agent Jacqueline Sloane (2021-2021). Bello was born on 18 April 1967 in Norristown in Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of Kathy Bello, a nurse at school and teacher, and Joe Bello, a contractor.Her father is Italian American, with roots in Montella, Italy, and her mother is Polish American.She grew up in a middle-class, Catholic family and graduated from Archbishop John Carroll High School in Radnor, Pennsylvania. [7][8] In political science, Bello majored in political science at Villanova University. Bello was a stage actor in New York and continued to improve her skills after graduation. Bello has her son Jackson with her ex-boyfriend Dan McDermott. Bello published a blog in November of 2013 about her same-sex relationship, Clare Munn, and how it ended. She published a book called Whatever...Love Is Loving: Examining the Labels We Give to Ourselves (Dey Street Books, April 28, 2015).
