Kyra Minturn

 Kyraminturn Sedgwick was born August 19th, 1965. She is an American producer and actress. She is best known for her character as the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson in the TNT crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick received the Golden Globe Award and an Emmy Award for her portrayal as Johnson in 2007. The series ended following the seventh season. Sedgwick is also known for her role in Brooklyn Nine-Nine as Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick was nominated to the Golden Globe award in 1995 for her role on Something to Talk About. Sedgwick's film roles include Oliver Stone's Born in July (1989) and Cameron Crowe's Individuals (1992) as well as Heart and Souls-1993), Phenomenon (1996), What's cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2011) are as well. Sedgwick was the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald who worked as a speech and family therapist, as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick IV Venture capitalist. She was born in New York City. Her mother, who was Jewish was of English and Episcopalian heritage. Sedgwick claims to be Jewish and has stated that she is a member of Passover seders.
